About Jedi Oldenburger
Jedi Oldenburger (Peter W. Oldenburger) is the founder of CyberSecurity AD, an independent cybersecurity and digital forensics consultancy based in Amsterdam, Netherlands. With over 30 years of hands-on experience in software development, information security, and digital forensics, he supports criminal defense attorneys and their clients in cases involving digital police investigations and forensic evidence analysis.
In August 2025, he earned his Associate Degree in Cybersecurity (Cum Laude) from the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (Hogeschool van Amsterdam), Faculty of Digital Media and Creative Industries. This academic foundation complements his extensive practical experience analyzing digital investigation files, logging data, network traffic, and telecom evidence in criminal proceedings.
Jedi works exclusively for the defense – criminal defense attorneys and their clients – delivering technical reports that attorneys can use for arguments under Article 359a of the Dutch Code of Criminal Procedure (procedural violations leading to evidence exclusion or sentence reduction). He is not a lawyer and does not provide legal advice; the legal strategy remains with the attorney.
His expertise includes EncroChat and Sky ECC analysis, evaluating how law enforcement obtained encrypted communications through Joint Investigation Teams (JIT), and whether the evidence collection complied with legal standards. He also specializes in Cellebrite/UFED mobile forensics, analyzing extraction reports, hash verification, and chain of custody documentation.
